Day 7 – Purification

I apologize for sharing this later in the day, I was “on the road” yesterday and today.

Day 7 sees us reviewing Purification, a blend of several essential oils (see picture.) In addition to the suggestions on the picture, I have also used it on my skin with Coconut Oil, helps make my skin feel vibrant and happy.

Day 5 – Copaiba, An “Older” Oil

Here we are at day 5 of our “getting to know your starter kit challenge,” and so we take a look at Copaiba. It has been said that the Copaiba Tree has to be at least 30 years old to produce therapeutic grade oil? And the optimal years are between 30 and 50.

Copaiba supports the body’s natural response to irritation and I have also mixed it with a base oil to help with occasional muscle discomfort after exercise.

Historical Oil – Frankincense

It appears that people have been using certain essential oils for thousands of years, and today’s featured oil in our “getting to know your starter kit challenge” is none other than Frankincense.

Do you use Frankincense, and if so, how? I spent many years living under the hot and unforgiving Australian sun, and so I find it useful in helping deal with the results of that. One drop morning and night onto my “affected area” on my arm, it’s working wonders.

And know this, if you have not yet acquired a Young Living starter kit, let us know and we’ll be more than happy to hook you up.

Lavender Essential Oil

And as we move onto day 2 of this “getting to know your starter kit challenge,” we come across Lavender. We often refer to this versatile essential oil as our “Swiss Army Knife of essential oils, lots of different uses without all the attachments! Here are just a few uses, there are dozens more!

The Swiss Army Knife

As many people already know, a Swiss Army knife has many attachments and many uses.

We view our Young Living Lavender essential oil as the “Swiss Army Knife” of all essential oils, without the attachments! It can be used for a variety of purposes but I think my favorite use is to put a couple of drops on each wrist at bedtime, I always seem to sleep better.
Another favorite is to add to the bath just before bedtime, inhale the Lavender aroma and let it work its magic on your skin.

Introducing…

Introducing Valor II and Peace & Calming II

We are excited to introduce Valor II and Peace & Calming II, two alternate formulations of Young Living favorites. While they were not designed to replace the ever popular Valor and Peace & Calming essential oil blends, these new formulations will have increased availability. The new formulations were hand picked to stay true to the original constituent formula of their predecessors, so they will offer the same great experience.

NingXia Red

For the past several months I have been drinking NingXia Red. I fondly refer to it as my “wolf juice,” and usually drink 2oz’s per day, in the morning.

I have tried the bottles and the small 2oz packets, and to be honest, I prefer the 2oz packets. For me, they are more convenient, I can take them with me when I’m away from home, I don’t need to measure into a glass, I just rip open the top and drink from the packet.

If you haven’t tried NingXia Red yet, I encourage you to do so. It’s refreshing, and always puts some pep in my step.
